On June 24, 2019, at approximately 5:15pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of a missing 37-year-old man from the RM of St. Andrews.

Police say that the man was reportedly last seen on Henry Road on the beach area of a water quarry in the RM of St. Andrews. He was with a group of people who were swimming in the gravel pits.

RCMP search and rescue along with local emergency services and community members searched the area. At 10:15pm, searchers located the body of the 37-year-old male in the water. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

RCMP report that an autopsy is scheduled and the investigation is ongoing.
