RCMP continue their search for Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky who are wanted in connection to ongoing investigations in British Columbia.

Police say that there have been no new sightings of the suspects and no new information indicating that the suspects have fled the area. Investigators are remaining open to the possibility and continue to ask anyone who may have inadvertently provided assistance to the suspects to come forward and contact police.

RCMP officers have started to canvass every home and building in the Gillam area as well as Fox Lake Cree Nation. In addition to the canvass, over 100 empty homes have been thoroughly searched in the Town of Gillam. Officers are also searching large abandoned buildings like the Keewatinohk Converter Station Camp, near Gillam, which has over 600 rooms.

Following a request from the RCMP, assets from the Canadian Armed Forces arrived in Gillam to assist with the aerial search.

RCMP noted that it is critical that all Canadians remain vigilant for Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky. If they are spotted, do not approach, call 911 or your local police immediately.
