With the new school year starting, Steinbach RCMP are sending out a friendly reminder to all drivers to be aware of school buses.
Steinbach RCMP noted that children safety is paramount and that drivers need to be aware of school buses making stops frequently to pick up and drop off children.
Police say that most buses are equipped with video surveillance which are activated when the flashing red lights and stop sign are out. Officers will be enforcing this offence with “passing school bus” tickets. The fine is a whopping $672.
