Only one month after launching its largest ever fundraising campaign, Bethesda Foundation has now reached the $10.5 million mark.

One month ago a public launch was held outlining three main health care projects the Foundation is currently raising funds for. The projects include:

  1. expansion of the RestHaven Nursing Home from a 60 bed facility to a total of 143 bed facility
  2. a palliative care facility that will provide a peaceful, home-like environment for those who require end-of-life care
  3. refurbishment of the surgical department at Bethesda Regional Health Centre

The Caring Together Campaign began in an informal capacity a number of years ago, with funds being raised to complete the Bethesda Primary Care Centre and Stonebridge Wellness Centre. “$10 million was raised during the past few years, as part of the quiet campaign phase,” says Linda Peters, Executive Director of Bethesda Foundation. “In September we launched the public phase of the campaign and many very generous donors in our community have already come forward to contribute towards our goal of 15 million dollars.”

“Keeping healthcare services close to home is always our goal and we look forward to seeing the community participate with us to make these projects a reality during our Caring Together Campaign,” Peters added.
