Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating numerous reports of mischief and thefts to vehicles located throughout the City of Steinbach.

On November 6, 2019, Steinbach RCMP received several complaints involving mischief and theft to vehicles in different areas of Steinbach. Police say that most of the incidents occurred overnight with one being committed on the morning of November 6 between the hours of 6:48am and 7:10am on South Park Drive. In this particular incident, change, cigarettes and sunglasses were taken from the vehicle while it was warming up.

Other incidents that occurred include:

  • Brookdale Crescent – vehicle rummaged through
  • McKenzie Avenue – tires slashed on two parked vehicles
  • Chrysler Gate – tires slashed on two parked vehicles
  • Parkhill Crescent –  tires slashed on parked vehicle
  • Southwood School Yard – parked school bus vandalized

In some of these incidents the vehicles were also rummaged through, however nothing appears to have been taken.
