A female pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle on the Perimeter Highway on the evening of November 11, 2016.

At approximately 6:30pm on November 11, 2016, officers from RCMP Traffic Services and the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to reports of a person walking on the Perimeter Highway near the intersection of Dawson Road. Reports indicated the person was walking alone in the westbound passing lane.

Officers from the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP were en-route when police received an update that the victim had been hit by a vehicle. The female victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Perimeter Highway and Dawson Road around the time of the incident and may have noticed anything suspicious, to call Headingley Traffic Services at 204-984-6913. This includes seeing a vehicle dropping-off a person near the scene of the collision or the victim walking in the area.
