The City of Steinbach’s Parks & Recreation Department has announced that one of the City’s outdoor rinks is now open for public skating and shinny hockey. The rink is located beside the T.G. Smith Centre at 321 Elmdale Street.
The City notes that changing weather conditions may require it to be temporarily closed during the daytime to maintain the ice surface quality.
City staff will now start work on Steinbach’s other outdoor rink, located beside the Jake Epp Library. This rink is specifically for pleasure skating only as no sticks or pucks are allowed.
