The City of Steinbach has announced updated information regarding services and hours of operation.

The City of Steinbach is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. Providing essential services continues to be our priority while protecting the health and well-being of our residents and employees.

As a result of this evolving situation, the City would like to inform the public of the following:

  • Effective immediately, City Hall (225 Reimer Avenue) and the City’s Operations Building (51 Millwork Drive) will be closed to the public until further notice. This is in addition to the closure of the Steinbach Aquatic Centre and T.G. Smith Centre on Monday.
  • At this time the Steinbach Landfill will remain open, however users who visit this facility must follow all posted social distancing guidelines as required by Manitoba Public Health. To help facilitate this, the acceptance of cash payments will be suspended until further notice; however payments with a debit or credit card may still be made.
  • Handi-Transit service will continue on a restricted basis, providing transportation for medical related appointments only.

Despite closing to the public, business will continue. Contact information for all departments is available on the City’s website at Steinbach.ca or call 204-326-9877 or email info@steinbach.ca to be directed.

Any person wanting to make payments can do so by online banking or by using the drop box located at the main entrance to City Hall (225 Reimer Avenue). For payment related questions call 204-326-9877.
