Carman RCMP recently responded to a single-vehicle collision at a location near Plum Coulee, Manitoba.
On March 15, 2020, At approximately 1:50am, Carman RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle collision near the intersection of Provincial Road 306 and Municipal Road 12N, located approximately three kilometres south of Plum Coulee.
Police investigation has determined that a vehicle, being driven by a 16-year-old male from Schanzenfeld, was traveling west on Road 12N when it lost control, entered the ditch and collided with a hydro pole.
Police say that the 16-year-old driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased on scene. Two other male occupants in the vehicle, an 18-year old and 17-year-old, who were both wearing their seatbelts, were assessed my EMS. The 18-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries and the 17-year-old was treated and released.
RCMP report that alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision.
