The City of Steinbach would like to inform the public that City Hall (225 Reimer Avenue) and the City’s Operations building (51 Millwork Drive) are now open regular hours with some limits to access. Effective immediately, all visitors to City Hall are required to use the front entrance doors off of Reimer Avenue.

The news is part of the Manitoba Restore Safe Services Plan with Public Health now indicating that public access to some services can safely resume.

In light of the announcement, the public is still encouraged to use other available methods to contact the City instead of making in-person visits. Phone and email information for all departments is available at steinbach.ca, or by calling City Hall at 204-326-9877.

Visitors to any City facilities will be subject to safety protocols recommended by Manitoba Public Health, which may include screening questions, physical distancing,
hand sanitization and limits on the number of visitors at one time.

Contactless payment methods – debit and credit cards – are preferred for all in-person visits to City offices, but cash is still accepted. Payments can also be made online, by mail (225 Reimer Avenue, Steinbach, MB R5G 2J1) or by using the 24-hour drop box located by the main entrance of City Hall.

The Steinbach Landfill continues to be open during this time and Handi-Transit service is available on a restricted basis, providing transportation for medical related appointments only. The Steinbach Aquatic Centre and T.G. Smith Centre remain closed until further notice.
