Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher, announced that applications are now being accepted to the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

“The Canada Summer Jobs Program helps employers create summer job opportunities for students in their communities,” said MP Falk. “Many young people have difficulty finding valuable work experience. Through this program we are helping them get the skills and training they need for jobs now and in the future.”

The Canada Summer Jobs Program provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create summer job opportunities for students aged 15 to 30.

The Canada Summer Jobs Program application period will run from December 7, 2016 to January 20, 2017.

Applications will be available at Service Canada Centres and online at www.servicecanada.gc.ca/csj.

To support employers, the Canada Summer Jobs Applicant Guide for 2017 is also available online. This guide provides instructions on filling out an application, eligibility requirements, and assessment criteria.

If employers have specific questions about applications, they may direct those enquiries to the office of MP Ted Falk at 1-866-333-1933, or to Service Canada officials directly at 1-800-935-5555.
