Selkirk RCMP are asking the public for any information that may help identify a male suspect involved in a recent sexual assault incident.

On November 6, 2020, at approximately 1pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a sexual assault at a business located on Main Street, in Selkirk.

Police say that a male suspect entered the business, cornered a female employee and exposed himself. When the employee tried to get away, the suspect grabbed her and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot.

RCMP are asking for help in identifying the male suspect. He is described as tall with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a Montreal Canadians ball cap, a black hoody with the hood up, blue jeans and a black face covering.

Update

RCMP report that a 36-year-old Selkirk man was arrested in relation to this incident and is facing charges of sexual assault, forcible confinement and committing an indecent act.
