The City of Steinbach has announced that the next Oil Recycling Day has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 9am to 5pm.
The city invites residents to bring used oil to the Eco Centre at the Steinbach Landfill, located at 104 Hanover Road East. In exchange, for every four litres of used oil (max. 205 litres per vehicle), participants will receive a coupon for one free litre of Co-op 5W-30 Sonic Silver Motor Oil (max. 5 coupons per vehicle).
The public is reminded that used oil, used oil filters, and used plastic oil containers need to be disposed of properly so they can be recycled into useful products instead of threatening the environment.
Officials note that used oil and tires can be recycled year-round at the Steinbach Landfill’s Eco Centre.
