Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure has announced that it has closed the bridge over the Morris River on Provincial Trunk Highway (PTH) 3 until further notice. The bridge is located near Brunkild, Manitoba.

Officials say that due to structural instability, an emergency closure is in place to ensure the safety of travelers. Both westbound and eastbound lanes on PTH 3 are closed to traffic, with a detour in place directing traffic to PTH 13 and PTH 2.

Plans are underway to replace the structure.
