Brandon RCMP are reporting that over $150,000 worth of stolen property has recently been uncovered resulting from an investigation that began in November of 2025.

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 8:30am, Brandon RCMP received a report that a number of items were stolen from a property just outside of Brandon. Police were told that between the evening of October 31 and the morning of November 1, 2025, various pieces of construction equipment were stolen from an area off of Provincial Road 270 and Highway 1, north of Brandon. Equipment, including a skid steer and cargo trailer, were missing along with numerous other items.

Police investigation led officers to a residential property near PR 270 and Road 87 West, where they located the stolen skid steer. A male and female on the property were arrested without incident.

Brandon RCMP along with Manitoba RCMP Police Dog Services, later searched the entire property and located multiple stolen items. This included a snowmobile, utility trailer, boat and boat trailer, various construction signs, and a golf cart.

Officers believe the value of the recovered items total approximately $150,000 and were stolen from property in and around the Brandon/Westman area as far back as 2021.

RCMP report that the two people arrested at the scene, 45-year-old Gary Dyck, along with 42-year-old Jeanine Emond, both from RM of North-Cypress-Langford, have been charged with 11 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Members note that both individuals have been remanded into custody and that officers are working to return property back to their original owners.
