Thompson RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing male from the community, 24-year-old Shane Wood.
On February 2, 2026, Thompson RCMP received a report stating that Shane Wood had gone missing. Police learned that he boarded a bus in Winnipeg on January 31 to travel back to his residence in Thompson, but did not arrive.
RCMP report that Shane was last seen on the bus in Grand Rapids at approximately 5am on February 1, and it is unknown where he disembarked after the stop in Grand Rapids.
Shane Wood is described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black and grey camo style jacket, and white sweatpants.
Thompson RCMP have conducted patrols in a number of surrounding areas but have not located him.
