Powerview RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing man from Traverse Bay, 78-year-old male Edward Mandat.
On May 21, 2026, at 2:52pm, Powerview RCMP received a report stating that Edward Mandat had gone missing. Edward had left his residence in Traverse Bay at approximately 1pm, driving a blue 2014 Jeep Cherokee with Manitoba licence plate KMY 641.
Police say that Edward Mandat’s whereabouts and clothing description are unknown at this time. It is believed that he may have traveled to Winnipeg.
Edward Mandat may be disoriented, and his family and RCMP are concerned for his safety and wellbeing. He is described as weighing about 140 pounds with white scruffy facial hair. RCMP noted that Mandat wears glasses.
