The City of Steinbach says residents can expect that a portion of the curb lane on McKenzie Avenue, south of Main Street, will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Officials say that as part of this year’s water tower renewal project, safety structures are being added to the tower on Wednesday, and the closure will allow for pedestrian traffic to be redirected from the sidewalk along the water tower as needed.
The curb lane is expected to reopen Wednesday evening.
The City thanks all drivers and residents in advance for exercising caution and following signage when traveling in the area.
