Local motorists are asked to use caution on roadways where Steinbach Parks and Recreation staff will be hanging flower pots, tilling and planting boulevard flower beds around the City this week.

“This is a big week for us as we move our potted plants from the greenhouse and onto our street hangers,” said Joyce Purchase, Beautification Supervisor for the City of Steinbach, “We are also tilling up the flower beds in the boulevards so they can be planted.”

Starting at 3am on June 5, City staff will begin to hang the more than 300 flower pots and plant along roadways starting with Main Street, PTH 12, and various other City locations. Each year, the goal is to have everything hung and planted for Summer in the City Festival when Steinbach hosts many visitors.

The City of Steinbach thanks motorists in advance for slowing down and using caution whenever driving past city employees.
