On October 9, 2018, at 11am, The Pas RCMP responded to a report of shots being fired at a residence located on Tremaudan Avenue in the community.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 41-year-old male victim who had been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Officers conducted a search of the residence and located a firearm.

Initial police investigation has determined that two males entered the residence and had an altercation with the victim when shots were fired. The suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle.

RCMP have identified two suspects and have issued warrants for their arrest. 33-year-old Ryan Todd Campbell of Opaskwayak First Nation, and 26-year-old Clayton Joshua McKay of no fixed address, have been charged with aggravated assault, robbery with a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent and uttering threats. They are also facing numerous other Criminal Code offences.
