Selkirk RCMP are reporting that an arrest has been made in connection to a recent search of a local residence. The search resulted in the seizure of drugs and multiple weapons.

On July 30, 2021, Selkirk RCMP, with assistance from the Emergency Response Team and our Police Dog Services unit, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Queen Avenue in the City of Selkirk.

Police say that the search resulted in the recovery of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, cannabis, purple down, illicit pills, numerous knives, two airguns and drug paraphernalia.

RCMP report that 34-year-old Daniel Cook, from Selkirk, was arrested on scene and was remanded into custody on numerous weapons and drug related charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
