Red River North RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing female teen, 18-year-old Precious Keeper.

For young people aged 12 to 17 to be fully immunized for their return to school in the fall, they should receive their first vaccine by Tuesday, July 27. This allows for the minimum 28 days between doses and two weeks after the second dose for the best immune response. There are more than 29,000 Pfizer appointments available from now to the end of July.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 3.5 per cent provincially and 2.9 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on July 21, 2021, 44 new cases of the virus have been identified today. Eleven cases have been removed due to case corrections, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 57,269.

A total of 58 warnings and six tickets were issued for the week of July 12 to 18, including four $1,296 tickets to individuals, one $298 ticket to an individual for failure to wear a mask in an indoor public place and one $2,542 ticket to a repeat offender.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises that due to the continued high to extreme fire danger levels across the province, additional fire and travel restrictions are being implemented. The new restrictions went into effect Tuesday, July 20 at 8 a.m.

All people aged 12 and up are now eligible to make their first- or second-dose appointment. The date of the second appointment must be at least 28 days after the first vaccination. There are thousands of Moderna and Pfizer appointments open and available to book as early as today.

The Manitoba government is reporting high interest in a new initiative to support internationally educated nurses (IEN) become licensed to work in the province, with 1,210 online applicants over the first week.

Thompson RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing female youth from the community, 17-year-old Skylar Mason.
