The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises progress continues with wildfires, but there is an elevated fire danger in the southern half of the province as well as the northeastern corner.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service has stated that, effective immediately, there are no longer fire and travel restrictions in place for most of the province, including areas 1 to 22.

Recent precipitation has lowered the fire danger across most of the province, but pockets of high fire danger continue in the northwest and southern parts of the province.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises the majority of the province now has a low fire danger level, while the northwest corner has a high fire danger level. Recent precipitation has lowered the fire danger level across the province, except for north of Lynn Lake.

Approximately 905 evacuees from the town of Lynn Lake and Marcel Colomb First Nation (Black Sturgeon) are returning home after the mandatory evacuation notices were lifted for these communities.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises the province is at a moderate-to-high fire danger and anticipates fires caused by lightning starts. Manitobans are reminded to continue to act with great caution when outdoors.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service has updated fire and travel restrictions for many parts of the province to Level 2. The update went into effect on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 8am.

Effective immediately, approximately 7,000 Manitobans will be able to return home from Pimicikamak Cree Nation (Cross Lake) and the Incorporated Community of Cross Lake.

Working together with the Manitoba Wildfire Service and the Office of the Fire Commissioner, the communities of Sherridon, Herb Lake Landing, Cranberry Portage and the town of Snow Lake have lifted their mandatory evacuations.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service continues to respond to 25 active wildfires across the province, a total of 116 wildfires to date, above the average for this date of 105 total fires.
