On March 10, 2026, at approximately 8am, officers from the RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region’s Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET) in Manitoba responded to a citizen report of two possible migrants traveling on foot along Provincial Trunk Highway 201 near Neuenberg.

The RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region (NWR) is further strengthening Canada-U.S. border security with the creation of an RCMP RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) corridor along the Canada-U.S. border in RCMP’s NWR.

Manitoba RCMP are reporting that with the help of thermal imaging, six illegal migrants were recently located and arrested near Emerson, Manitoba.
