To date, 66,372 doses of vaccine have been administered including 39,814 first doses and 26,558 second doses. By the end of this week, all residents of personal care homes will have had the opportunity to receive their second-dose immunizations.

On March 5, two new immunization super sites will launch – one in Selkirk and the other in Morden-Winkler area. These sites will deliver vaccine to eligible Manitobans and also serve as a distribution hub for Focused Immunization Teams and pop-up clinics.

Pharmacies and medical clinics can now apply to the province to administer COVID-19 vaccines, in anticipation of suitable vaccines being authorized by the federal government in the future. This approach builds on their expertise in delivering other publicly funded vaccines including the annual flu campaign.
Manitoba continues to adjust its immunization plans in response to the ongoing reductions and delays in vaccine shipments to the province. Manitoba has been told it can expect 3,510 doses of Pfizer next week and 15,210 doses the week of Feb. 15. Manitoba does not have any delivery projections for Moderna.
To date, 43,318 doses of vaccine have been administered including 32,852 first doses and 10,466 second doses. As of Feb. 2, Manitoba remains second in the country in the number of people who have received two doses of vaccine and are fully protected against COVID-19, at 759 per 100,000.
