The Manitoba government announced it is proudly providing Festival du Voyageur with $324,000 as it celebrates its 56th year showcasing Manitoba’s rich francophone heritage.

Manitobans are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of winter festivities that celebrate the histories of francophone, Métis and First Nations people at the 55th edition of Festival du Voyageur.

The Manitoba government is providing $50,000 in one-time grant funding to support Festival du Voyageur’s safe occupancy of Fort Gibraltar project to ensure the annual festival can proceed.

The Manitoba government is proud to participate and officially kick off the 54th edition of the Festival du Voyageur, the largest annual winter festival in Western Canada.

Manitoba’s iconic Festival du Voyageur has received special designation under the Celebrate Manitoba program, which honours long-running community events, fairs and festivals.

In association with Festival du Voyageur, the province has unveiled a special snow sculpture paying tribute to the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
