January 6, 2019, marked six years since Leah Anderson’s severely beaten body was found on a remote snowmobile-walking trail in Gods Lake Narrows and RCMP aggressively continue to investigate.

RCMP have arrested and charged 37-year-old Michael William Okemow with second degree murder in connection to the death of Crystal Andrews. The investigation began in November of 2015.

With the help of the local community, RCMP were able to narrow down the list of suspects being investigated in the 2013 murder of 15-year-old Leah Anderson in Gods Lake Narrows. As a result, RCMP have made an arrest.
