The Manitoba government has recently announced that it is providing $315,000 in funding to support 34 museums across the province.

To commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Manitoba government is providing $50,000 to the Manitoba Museum to support programming that encourages meaningful awareness of the history and legacy of residential schools.

The Manitoba government will contribute $1.4 million to the Manitoba Museum’s Bringing Our Stories Forward capital renewal project, with another $3.6 million available if private donation targets are met.
