Manitoba Agriculture reports despite spotty rainfall, crop development throughout the province is progressing well.

Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living reminds Manitobans of health concerns related to colder temperatures. Exposure to cold can result in health problems such as frostbite or hypothermia, which can be life-threatening.

With Environment Canada forecasting a major winter storm to hit parts of Manitoba today and tomorrow, motorists are encouraged to remain in a winter-driving mode, with their focus being driving to road and weather conditions.

Manitoba Infrastructure reminds drivers that in winter driving conditions and on slippery streets, drivers are requested to slow down and drive according to the conditions in order to get to their destination safely.

The weather forecast for Steinbach and southeastern Manitoba is looking good at this point, with more seasonal temperatures in store for most of the weekend.
