Steinbach firefighters have begun further training with the addition of a roof simulator to their tools.
The roof training simulator allows firefighters to practice fire scenarios on a roof built exactly like that of a real house.
Deputy Chief Don Smith explained that after each exercise, the hole cut into the roof is boarded up and re-shingled to allow for continued use of the same simulator.
This is another tool Steinbach firefighters use to help them stay up to date with current equipment and techniques.
