On March 14, 2011, just before 11am, Gods lake RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a house fire on Gods Lake Narrows FN.
On arrival, police discovered the residence completely engulfed. Only a portion of the home remains standing. Initial reports indicate that community members attempted to extinguish the fire without success.
Remains have been discovered in the residence and an autopsy will be scheduled.
The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner continues to investigate this matter.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
