The Progressive Conservative Party continues their preparation for the 2011 general election by announcing Larry Tetrault as the candidate for the constituency of Dawson Trail in the approaching provincial election. Tetrault was acclaimed at a nomination meeting last night.

“I am excited to be a part of the Progressive Conservative team led by Hugh McFadyen,” says Tetrault. “Manitobans are eager for change and the residents of Dawson Trail want a provincial government that will work hard on behalf of both rural and urban communities. The tired and desperate NDP has been treating people in rural Manitoba like second-class citizens for too long, and I look forward to being part of a McFadyen government and standing up for all Manitobans.”

Tetrault has served his community for 36 years as the Chief Administrative Officer at the RMs of La Broquerie and Springfield. The bilingual father of five has deep roots in the farming community, is an experienced business owner, and has served on numerous boards.

“Larry is going to be an outstanding candidate for us in Dawson Trail and I welcome him to the team,” said Manitoba PC Leader Hugh McFadyen. “His tremendous experience in local government will be an important asset as we go forward. The people of this constituency will have a strong, positive voice in our new government with Larry.”

The Manitoba PC Party now has 33 nominated candidates for the next provincial election.
