On April 16, 2011, at 9:17am, the Stonewall RCMP received a call of a two-vehicle collision on Provincial Road 236, 1/2 mile north of Provincial Road 321.

Police attended and learned that a southbound Honda Ridgeline carrying a 79-year-old male and 76-year-old female from Stonewall, collided head-on with a northbound Toyota Rav4 driven by a 43-year-old man from Winnipeg.

Stonewall-Rockwood and Stony Mountain Fire Departments attended along with two Interlake Regional Health Authority ambulances.

RCMP report that one person had to be extricated from their vehicle and all three were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Poor road conditions are believed to be a factor in the collision. All occupants were wearing their seat belts.
