Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced the appointment of Jason Skinner to the board of directors of Farm Credit Canada (FCC).

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Skinner to the FCC board,” said Minister Ritz. “Mr. Skinner’s 20 years of experience in the agricultural industry, focusing on marketing, policy and management, will be a major asset to the board.”

Serving Canadian agriculture since 1959, FCC is Canada’s largest provider of business and financial services to farms and agri-business. Operating out of 100 offices throughout mostly rural Canada, FCC employees continue to provide customized financial and business solutions to meet the needs of the sector and ensure its prosperity. With a commitment to excellence and outstanding leadership, FCC has been consistently recognized as one of Canada’s top 10 places to work.

A healthy loan portfolio of more than $15 billion and 15 consecutive years of portfolio growth reflect a strong demand for agriculture financing with FCC.

The appointment is for a three-year term and is effective immediately.
