RCMP have seized drugs and unregistered firearms at a location in Fort Alexander, Manitoba, after responding to a disturbance call on Tuesday.
On May 3, 2011, at about 6:15pm, Powerview RCMP responded to a disturbance call at an address in Fort Alexander, Manitoba. Investigation led police to believe drugs and firearms were present inside the residence.
RCMP report that one male was arrested and the house was secured.
RCMP obtained a search warrant for the residence which was executed later that evening. The search resulted in the seizure of cannabis marijuana and 5 unregistered firearms, one being stolen from Neepawa.
34-year-old Dwayne Guimond of Fort Alexander has been charged with possessing marihuana for the purpose of trafficking and numerous firearms related offences. Guimond has been released on his own recognizance to appear in Pine Falls Provincial Court.
