RCMP continue to investigate an attempted home invasion that occurred in the RM of Springfield near Anola on May 11, 2011.

RCMP report that they have now charged two Winnipeg men in connection with this incident.

18-year-old Rylee Gordon Fines faces the following charges:

• Break and Enter to Commit Robbery
• Wear Disguise while Commit Offence
• Possess weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Use Firearm in Commission of an Offence
• Possess Firearm while under Prohibition Order
• Possess Firearm in a motor vehicle
• Possess Prohibited weapon Obtained by Commission of an Offence
• Possess Firearm while Knowing Possession is Unauthorized

21-year-old Colten James Single has been charged with:

• Break and Enter to Commit Robbery
• Wear Disguise while Commit Offence
• Possess weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Use Firearm in Commission of an Offence
• Possess a Firearm w/o being the Holder of a Licence
• Possess Firearm in a vehicle
• Possession of Weapon Obtained by Crime

Both remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in Winnipeg Court.

RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance with the third culprit described as a Caucasian male in his 20’s, slim build, about 5’10” and 130 lbs with short light coloured hair. At the time, he was wearing runners, jeans and a light blue jacket.
