Daylight saving time returns to Manitoba early on the morning of Sunday, March 8, when clocks across the province will be advanced one hour.

Under the Official Time Act, daylight saving time takes place on the second Sunday in March and continues until the first Sunday in November. This is the third year the province is following the extension of daylight saving time instituted by the U.S. government in 2007.

Previously, Manitoba had observed daylight saving time from the first Sunday of April until the first Sunday in October.

The official time change to daylight saving time occurs at 2 a.m., Sunday, March 8 at which time clocks should be set ahead to 3 a.m.
