At about 3pm, on June 30, 2011, Minnedosa RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two vehicle collision on Highway 10, approximately 9 miles north of the junction of Highway 16.

Initial reports indicate a pick-up truck was in a head-on collision with a passenger vehicle. There were two people reported to be in the auto and one person in the pick up truck.

The two occupants of the automobile were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The lone female occupant of the pick-up truck was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The identities and ages of the two deceased has not been confirmed at this time.

An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst is assisting with the investigation.

The deceased have been identified as a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old woman. Both are from Brandon, Manitoba. Their names will not be released.
