A 25-year-old man is facing charges after colliding with a pedestrian on the horse racing track in Glenboro Manitoba.

On July 2, 2011, at about 3:30am, Carberry RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle vs pedestrian collision in Glenboro, Manitoba.

Initial investigation indicates that just before 3:30am, a 25-year-old male was driving a 2006 Buick on the horse racing track in Glenboro. The vehicle struck an adult male pedestrian who was reported to have gone through the windshield of the vehicle.

Emergency personnel were required to extricate the man from the vehicle. He was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The driver, a 25-year-old male, was transported to hospital with minor injuries. He is facing a number of charges including of impaired operation of  a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

An RCMP traffic Collision analyst attended to assist with the investigation.

Police continue to investigate.
