Submerged vehicle gets pulled out of water.

A youth went unharmed after driving a vehicle into the water at Oak Lake Beach yesterday afternoon.

On July 3, 2011, at about 3:30pm, Virden RCMP were dispatched to Oak Lake Beach to investigate a report of a vehicle in the water.

Investigation revealed that a 13-year-old youth had been operating a 2008 Mazda, when it went into the water at Oak Lake Beach.

The shoreline is reported to have a sharp drop off and the vehicle sank after going off the bank.

The youth was able to get out of the vehicle before it became completely submerged and was not injured. He was issued an offence notice under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a motor vehicle without a licence.
