Yesterday’s Steinbach Council meeting saw the awarding of the Jake Epp Library Expansion project to Boretta Construction of Winnipeg.
The City received two tenders for the project – one from Three Way Builders and one from Boretta Construction. Three Way Builders bid $1,628,500 with an additional $115,375 to reroof the existing library building, for a total of $1,743,875. Boretta Construction bid $1,575,327 with an additional option to reroof the existing building for $106,764, for a total of $1,682,091.
A preconstruction meeting will take place shortly to determine the construction schedule, more details will become available.
