The TG Smith Centre in Steinbach is looking good for the for the upcoming 2011/2012 season.
The ice surface in Centennial Arena will be completed next week, along with numerous improvements to the entire facility. In the Centennial’s dressing rooms and hallways, new rubber flooring has been installed; new shower and bathroom facilities have been installed; a new coat of paint has been applied in the dressing room areas; and new benches have also been installed in the rooms. Final touchups will take place before the first ice time on August 28th.
Budget for the TG Smith Centre improvements included $200,000 from the City’s funds and a $15,000 grant from Community Places.
