Outdoor grow-op discovered by police at a property in the RM of Alexander, Manitoba.

On August 18, 2011, RCMP Winnipeg Drug Section executed a CDSA (Controlled Drug and Substances Act) search warrant at a property in the RM of Alexander, Manitoba.

While searching the property northeast of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, investigators located approximately 200 marijuana plants in an outdoor grow operation as well as a stolen quad. The estimated street value of the marijuana is approximately $200,000.

38-year-old Terry Layton Hannigan of Winnipeg, was arrested and has been charged with production of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property. Hannigan has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court.

Another adult male and two adult women were also arrested, charges are pending.

Police continue to investigate.
