A vehicle which rolled over and caught on fire yesterday morning in Grunthal, sent 3 youths to hospital.

On August 23, 2011, at 7am, St. Pierre RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle rollover collision in Grunthal, Manitoba.

Initial investigation indicates that around midnight a 1998 Honda civic left the roadway and went into a ditch in the area of the Grunthal Park. The vehicle appears to have rolled over at least once before catching on fire.

There were three male occupants, two 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old. All three were able to get out of the vehicle before it caught fire and was completely burnt. Police say that they were not discovered until about 7am.

The 17-year-old remains in hospital with non life threatening injuries, the other two have been released from hospital.

Charges are being contemplated under the Highway Traffic Act.

Police continue to investigate.
