On November 2, 2011, at 5:30pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal accident involving a pick-up truck and an all terrain vehicle in the RM of Brokenhead, Manitoba.
Initial investigation indicates that a 2011 Ford pick-up truck was traveling east on PR 317 when it was in collided with a 2008 Honda ATV that was traveling south on Woodrow Road. Woodrow Road is controlled by a stop sign.
The driver of the ATV, a 47-year-old man from the RM of Brokenhead, was transported to hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced deceased. His name will not be released. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 59-year-old man from Beausejour, sustained minor injuries.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
Police continue to investigate.
