On November 29, 2011, at about 5pm, RCMP and local Emergency Services were dispatched to a serious two vehicle collision on Highway 16, approximately 1 km east of Strathclair, Manitoba.

Initial investigation indicates a 2010 Ford pick-up truck was westbound on Highway 16 when it crossed the centre line and collided head-on with an eastbound semi-trailer.

The driver and passenger of the pick-up truck, both 22 year old males, as well as the 45-year-old driver of the semi, were treated in hospital for non life threatening injuries.

Road conditions and visibility were reported to be good at the time of the collision.

An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation. Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the collision.

Police continue to investigate.
