On December 14, 2011, at about 12:30am, Lundar RCMP as well as the RCMP Emergency Response Team and RCMP Police Dog Service, were dispatched to a firearms complaint at a residence in the Village of Eriksdale, Manitoba.
Police say that a 41-year-old woman has been taken into custody. The woman was found to be suffering from an undisclosed injury and will be transported to hospital for treatment. Police are not anticipating further arrests.
RCMP report that a local school was closed as a precaution and an area adjacent to the residence was evacuated and cordoned off for public safety.
Police continue to investigate.
