On December 19, 2011, Turtle Mountain RCMP were dispatched to a disturbance on Broadway Street in the Town of Killarney.

Upon arrival at the residence, police observed an open door and smoke coming from inside the residence. Fearing for the occupants safety, officers entered the home and located three individuals in the livingroom and one individual in the basement on a motorcycle revving the engine and spinning his back tires to the point that the basement carpet had caught on fire.

Police then called for EMS and the local Fire Department to attend.

RCMP report that the residence suffered some smoke damage. Damage estimates are not known at this point.

During the course of this investigation, a 48-year-old resident of the home was arrested and remanded into custody on the charges of uttering threats, mischief, breach of recognizance and resisting a peace officer.

The investigation continues.
