On December 19, 2011, Minnedosa RCMP received a call of a missing 13-year-old girl from Minnedosa, Manitoba.
Police say that her parents had noticed that she was not in her room went when they went to wake her for school.
Immediately after the call, police conducted inquiries as to her whereabouts. At approximately 9:30am the same day, police received a tip that the girl may be on the Keeseekoowenin First Nation. Elphinstone RCMP followed up on this tip and located the girl with a 20-year-old male from that area.
RCMP report that the male was arrested on an unrelated break and enter charge and is being held in custody.
