A 39-year-old woman from Gods Lake is facing drug trafficking charges after police found her to be in possession of cocaine last week.
On March 2, 2012, God’s Lake RCMP arrested a 39-year-old woman from Gods Lake for possession for the purpose of trafficking, an offense under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
As part of an ongoing investigation, the woman was arrested after arriving at the community airport with her 15-month-old granddaughter. Investigation revealed that there was approximately three grams of cocaine concealed in the child’s clothing.
The suspect is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Police continue to investigate.
